Thomson Reuters Market Light gets the EDGE with Greytrix Implementation
Mumbai, Maharashtra, October 12, 2010 /India PRwire/ -- EDGE is an initiative by Information Week to identify, recognize and honor end-user companies in India that have demonstrated the best use of technology to solve a business problem, improve business competitiveness and deliver quantifiable ROI (return on investment) to stakeholders. In July 2010, the Information Week editorial sent out invitations to IT Heads of user companies, system integrators, and Pr agencies to nominate their clients for the EDGE Awards.
Greytrix, Premium Partner of Sage Software along with other 200 companies submitted its successful case study of Thomson Reuters Market Light (RML), part of the Thomson Reuters group. RML offers Indian Farmers up-to-date, local and customized commodity pricing information, news and weather updates through SMS based subscription. Greytrix implemented an integrated Sage CRM and Sage Accpac ERP solution suite to automate processes of voucher management, complaint management, customer interaction and financial operations.
Before implementing the current system RML was using discrete systems for voucher management, complaint management and profile management. Pre-paid vouchers were generated in one application and were sold via the distributors to the farmers.
As the integrated system took shape the vouchers are now generated as a batch file from Sage Accpac ERP and dispatched to distributors. Also since Sage Accpac ERP is integrated with Sage CRM customer information automatically gets reflected in the CRM. As the farmer calls in for service activation the customer care executives validates him as a new customer or an existing customer in Sage CRM and takes note of his information preferences. Sage CRM synchronizes automatically with the profile management system therefore activating SMS service on the farmers mobile.
A complete 360 degree view of customer and distributors is maintained through the various processes of sales, distribution, service management and complaint resolutions at front end and financials, purchasing and sales functions at the backend for RML using a single integrated ERP-CRM system integrated with various internal content management and voucher management systems.
RML, a successful project of Greytrix, stood as an EDGE 2010 award winner for redefining the use of ERP and CRM (at a broader level IT) in the agricultural industry as well. RML now provides information on over 150 crops, 1,000 markets and 2, 000 weather locations to over 200,000 farmers across 12 states of India with the help of Greytrix and Sage Solutions.
